A 35-year-old worker died on Monday afternoon after falling from a significant height while working on the roof of a building in the town of Kafr Qara, located in the Wadi Ara region. Emergency medical services arrived at the scene but could only pronounce the worker dead due to severe injuries sustained in the fall. Paramedics reported that the worker fell from a height of approximately 15 meters (49 feet) while on duty, according to a friend who was present. The police have opened an investigation into the circumstances of the incident and have notified representatives from the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Labor, as is standard procedure for workplace fatalities. This incident occurs amidst a backdrop of workplace accidents, with 50 workers having reportedly died in such incidents across the country since the beginning of 2026.
