Singer-songwriter Chaim Green has released a new, powerful single titled 'Chamul' (Have Mercy) during the Days of Awe, a period of penitence and prayer leading up to the High Holidays. The song is described as a sincere plea and cry to God, expressing the deep yearnings of this time of year.

Green, known for his ability to convey genuine emotion through music, chose this period to launch a work that speaks directly to the heart and connects to the spiritual depth of the Days of Mercy and Selichot (penitential prayers). The lyrics are simple yet profound, taken directly from Selichot prayers: 'Have mercy on Your people, have compassion on Your inheritance, please spare us in Your abundant mercy.' These verses articulate the eternal request of the Jewish people for God to have mercy and accept their prayers.
