Netanyahu to Address UN General Assembly in New York on September 24
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to travel to New York on September 23 to address the United Nations General Assembly. His speech is slated for the afternoon of September 24, after which he will return to Israel.
The visit was announced by Israel's Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon. Danon stated that Netanyahu's trip will be brief, with the Prime Minister arriving late on September 23 and departing the same evening after his address.
Currently, no meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump is planned during this visit. The two leaders last met in July.
The Prime Minister's visit comes amid expectations of potential protests in New York. The city's mayor, Zohran Mamdani, had previously expressed an intention to seek Netanyahu's arrest but later acknowledged lacking the authority to detain the Israeli premier.
