Netanyahu Thanks India's Modi for New Year Wishes, Praises Bilateral Ties

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday expressed gratitude to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his warm New Year's greetings, emphasizing the enduring friendship and strategic partnership between Israel and India. Modi had posted New Year wishes in both English and Hebrew, addressing Netanyahu, the people of Israel, and Jewish communities globally. "Happy New Year! Wishing a happy and joyful year to Prime Minister Netanyahu, the people of Israel, and Jewish communities around the world," Modi wrote. "May the new year bring peace, hope, good health, and continued progress for all."

In a statement released by the Prime Minister's Office, Netanyahu responded, "Thank you, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for your warm wishes to the people of Israel and to me personally." Netanyahu added that the start of the Jewish new year provided an opportunity to reiterate his appreciation for Modi's leadership and their long-standing friendship.
