Education Minister Yoav Kisch's Neighbors Accuse Family of Littering
Education Minister Yoav Kisch is embroiled in a local controversy in Hod Hasharon following accusations from his neighbors regarding environmental pollution on his street. A video circulating on social media shows open garbage bags and cardboard boxes discarded in a public area on Zaytan Street, with some boxes bearing an address linked to the minister's residence. The footage sparked outrage among residents who shared it with the caption, "The Education Minister's family is polluting the public space." One neighbor is heard in the video criticizing, "The residence of the Education Minister, and unsurprisingly his family, does not shy away from littering and dumping garbage in the public space where they live. Education is everything."
Many residents reacted to the social media storm, expressing anger over the lack of personal example in the neighborhood. Some called for the Hod Hasharon municipality to intervene and issue fines for illegal waste disposal. In response to the allegations and the video, a statement from Minister Yoav Kisch's office said, "This is a photograph of the regional garbage collection point for the municipality, to which, according to municipal guidelines, all local residents bring their waste for disposal."
