Israeli Parties Vie for Remaining Votes Ahead of Election Deadline

The "Miluimnikim" party, led by Yoaz Hendel, has proposed a residual votes agreement to "Amcha Israel," headed by Ofer Winter. However, Winter is expected to reject the offer. This comes as other parties finalize their electoral pacts. The Likud party has already secured an agreement with "Tzionut Datit," while "Yahadut HaTorah" has signed with Shas. Negotiations are ongoing between Winter's party and Itamar Ben-Gvir's "Otzma Yehudit," with reports suggesting they are close to an agreement. Should this deal materialize, Hendel's "Miluimnikim" would likely be left with only the option of an agreement with Benny Gantz's "Kahol Lavan" party. In the opposition bloc, Yisrael Beiteinu has formed an alliance with "Be'ahad," "Yashar" with "Democratim," and the Ra'am party has agreed with the United Arab List. Residual votes agreements are only valid if both signatory parties surpass the electoral threshold. Separately, on September 14, Likud announced its intention to petition the Central Elections Committee to ban Ra'am and the United List from participating in the elections, citing their alleged criticism of IDF soldiers and failure to label Hamas and Hezbollah as terrorist organizations.
