Dr. Shiran Sodri, a 36-year-old oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Sheba Medical Center, has revealed her participation in the reality show "Married at First Sight" as she actively seeks a life partner. Originally from Haifa, Sodri moved to Tel Aviv two years ago. She describes herself as driven and ambitious, having excelled in various fields from a young age. Her career path included a stint in the elite military intelligence unit 8200 and a brief period in high-tech before she pursued her childhood dream of becoming a doctor, influenced by her mother. She initially enrolled in electrical engineering and physics at the Technion but switched to dentistry at Tel Aviv University, later specializing in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Sodri's research focused on developing a non-invasive method using gold nanoparticles to detect oral tumors at early stages, a project that garnered her recognition. She also pursued studies in aesthetic medicine, defending its medical legitimacy, and has a passion for complex reconstructive surgeries, including facial feminization procedures.
Despite her professional accomplishments, Sodri now feels a strong desire for partnership and family. She is looking for a grounded, "manly man" who can help her switch off her internal "engines" and find balance. She hopes the reality show will help her find someone who complements her driven personality, ideally someone with roots in agriculture or a similar connection to the land, perhaps a "moshavnik" (a resident of an agricultural cooperative settlement).
