Trump also commented on reports that Chinese entities provided Iran with satellite imagery or intelligence concerning Jordanian air force bases. When questioned about raising this issue with Chinese President Xi Jinping, Trump adopted a measured tone, suggesting Beijing acted reasonably and emphasizing that Washington also employs similar intelligence gathering methods regarding China. He directly addressed claims of Chinese espionage against the U.S., framing it as routine intelligence competition between global powers. Trump stated that while China does spy on the U.S., the U.S. also conducts intelligence operations targeting China, implying a reciprocal relationship.
