Singer Mizad Tasa Marks 15 Years Since Brother's Death

Israeli singer Mizad Tasa has shared a heartfelt post reflecting on the 15 years since the passing of his brother, Aviel, who died on Rosh Hashanah eve.

Tasa described the enduring pain and longing he feels, noting that his brother's absence is felt most acutely not just during major life events, but also in the small, everyday moments. He misses their conversations, the laughter that is no longer in the home, and the things he wishes he could tell his brother, often wondering how Aviel would have reacted or what advice he would have given.

The singer revealed that he learned many of his positive traits, such as kindness, warmth towards others, and nobility, from his brother. He also shared a message from Aviel, received a month before his death, about accepting everyone with a pleasant face, which Tasa now considers a testament.

Tasa acknowledged that while time may not heal all wounds, the pain becomes a part of you, allowing you to continue living, working, and finding joy, though a part of you always aches for the one who is gone. He explained that his song "Aviel Achai" (Aviel My Brother) was born from this place of grief, serving as his way to speak to his brother and give voice to his longing.
