Activist Yoseph Haddad Blames Netanyahu, Bennett, and Eizenkot for October 7th Failures

Yoseph Haddad, an Israeli advocacy activist and candidate for the 'Am Israel' right-wing party, has sharply criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, and former IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eizenkot, holding them responsible for the failures leading to the October 7th Hamas attacks. Speaking on the "Push Tocols" podcast, Haddad argued that these leaders were "prisoners of a concept" that critically damaged national security.

Haddad questioned how, out of 120 Knesset members close to decision-making tables, none acted to prevent the attack, including the Prime Minister, Defense Minister, Intelligence Minister, Chief of Staff, and head of Military Intelligence. He stated that while Netanyahu, Bennett, and Eizenkot have served the country, they were part of a prevailing mindset that proved disastrous.

Specifically, Haddad pointed to Bennett's tenure, during which he claims the government continued to allow Qatari money into Gaza and permitted Gazan workers into Israel and the Gaza envelope, some of whom allegedly gathered intelligence. Haddad asserted that this policy was known to be risky, with intelligence indicating some workers were informants.

Haddad concluded that any future investigation committee must examine all 120 members of the Knesset who served on October 7th. He emphasized that the responsibility extends to all lawmakers, and the committee should determine the degree of accountability for each individual, including Bennett, Eizenkot, and Netanyahu.
