World's Largest Israeli Flag Hoisted in Haifa Port En Route to Guinness Record
An enormous Israeli flag, measuring approximately 170 square meters (17 by 10 meters), was raised on a 41-meter mast in Haifa's port on Tuesday morning, near Palmer Gate. This flag is claimed to be the largest portable flag in the world and is expected to be visible across the city, from Hadar to the Carmel Ridge.
The initiative is spearheaded by Boaz Hayoun, who first raised the flag shortly after October 7, 2023, with the aim of uniting the nation and boosting morale. The flag had previously been removed from Kfar Shmaryahu following a protracted legal dispute.
Now relocated to Haifa, the flag begins a new chapter in its pursuit of official world record recognition. The display is intended to symbolize the strength, pride, and unity of the Israeli people, with the blue and white colors proudly flying from the center to the north of the country.
