Right-wing media figure Tucker Carlson has launched another attack on Israel and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, celebrating what he described as a “defeat to Iran” and mocking Netanyahu as widely disliked. Carlson, once one of America’s most popular conservative voices and formerly close to Donald Trump, has in recent years become an extreme conspiracy theorist and an openly anti-Israel influencer.
In a new podcast, Carlson said Trump had been “a slave to Israel” and claimed Israel has now lost the only president it fully controlled. He argued that Trump either understands how Israel really looks or is merely “playing a role” ahead of the midterm elections. Carlson also compared Netanyahu to al-Qaeda and said, “No one likes him, not even Mrs. Netanyahu.”
Carlson added that Trump is signaling he does not like “Bibi,” and said that, based on leaks from Trump’s conversations with Netanyahu, the prime minister would have to agree. He described Trump’s shift as a break from being “a slave to Israel” toward a much harsher stance.
On Iran, Carlson said the United States had “officially recognized” it as a legitimate player, which he said changes everything. In his view, Iran is no longer a “resurrected Third Reich” but a state and a power that the U.S. is now, on paper, obligated to respect as it negotiates with Washington.
