Axios reported that U.S. President Donald Trump held a meeting overnight in the White House Situation Room, where he discussed additional strikes against Iran. According to the report, one option Trump is weighing is a broad but short-lived operation intended to pressure Iran to change its position in negotiations. The Situation Room meeting was attended by Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Caine, envoy Steve Witkoff and other senior officials.
