Trump Expresses No Regrets Over Iran Stance, Cites Nuclear Capability Destruction

Former U.S. President Donald Trump stated in an interview with Fox News that he has no regrets regarding his administration's actions concerning Iran, asserting he would make the same decisions again. Trump emphasized that his administration successfully eliminated Iran's nuclear capabilities. "I don't believe in the word regret. You can always second-guess yourself to a certain extent. If I had to do it again, I would have acted exactly as I acted. I eliminated their nuclear capability," he said.

Trump argued that allowing Iran to obtain nuclear weapons would have posed an existential threat to Israel, the Middle East, and the United States. He described Iran as "crazy" and predicted they would use nuclear weapons if they possessed them, potentially "erasing Israel" and "erasing the Middle East," and also targeting American cities.

Addressing the economic impact, Trump pointed to the U.S. stock market reaching all-time highs during the period of tension with Iran, noting that oil prices also rose. "The stock market is now at an all-time high. During all of this little conflict, let's call it a conflict, the stock market is at an all-time high. It's going up. It keeps going up. Oil is up," he stated.

Furthermore, Trump claimed that Iran is attempting to influence U.S. midterm elections in hopes of removing him from office, believing that Democrats would then allow Iran to retain nuclear capabilities. "They are trying to do everything they can to get me out, because they think the Democrats will actually allow them to have a nuclear weapon. They will not have a nuclear weapon," Trump declared.
