Trump: Iran With Nuclear Weapons Would Annihilate Israel
Former U.S. President Donald Trump stated in a Fox News interview that he does not regret his actions regarding Iran, asserting he would make the same decisions again. He claimed to have "destroyed their nuclear capability" and warned that if Iran had obtained nuclear weapons, they would have "annihilated Israel" and the Middle East, potentially even striking U.S. cities.
Trump described the Iranian regime as "crazy" and suggested they would have used nuclear weapons if they possessed them. He also commented on U.S. operations in the Strait of Hormuz, stating that the U.S. controls the strait and has disabled nine Iranian tankers. He acknowledged Iran still possesses missiles, noting that the U.S. intercepted 11 Iranian missile launches, allowing only two to pass.
Regarding the conflict's timeline, Trump predicted its conclusion would occur immediately after the upcoming U.S. elections. He believes Iran is attempting to influence the U.S. political landscape, hoping a Democratic administration would adopt a more lenient policy and allow them to acquire nuclear weapons, which he vowed would not happen.
Despite the ongoing conflict, Trump highlighted the strength of the U.S. stock market, calling it an "all-time high." While acknowledging a rise in oil prices, he expressed confidence in a swift resolution to the military campaign.
