Taibe Businessman Murdered in Drive-By Shooting
Ra'ed Haj Yahya, a 50-year-old businessman from Taibe, was shot and killed inside his vehicle in the city on Tuesday. He was found next to his car, which was riddled with numerous bullet holes. Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedics attempted resuscitation efforts but ultimately pronounced him dead at the scene.
The police reported that officers from the Taibe station launched an investigation shortly after receiving a report of a shooting targeting a vehicle carrying a man in his 50s. Initial media reports suggest the victim was lured to the location by his assailants. As he exited his vehicle, they fired 13 bullets at him from close range, killing him near his home.
Senior MDA paramedic Muanem Kasem and MDA emergency medical technician Adi Fiyumi described the scene: "When we arrived, we were led to a man who was unconscious in the vehicle, without a pulse or breathing, after being injured in a violent incident. We immediately began advanced resuscitation efforts, including administering medication and stopping bleeding, and evacuated him while continuing resuscitation, in critical condition with penetrating wounds."
