Beitar Jerusalem Pursues Uri Azou With Speed and Dribbling Skills
Beitar Jerusalem is looking to sign Uri Azou to bolster their attacking front with an additional fast dribbler capable of playing in tight spaces. The club aims to add depth and speed to their offense.
Azou's playing time at Beitar may be limited, especially if the team already has eight foreign players in its squad, as is expected if the deal is finalized and Alexis Serna also joins. In such a scenario, with all players healthy, some foreign players like Kalu or Ensa might be excluded from the roster, potentially creating opportunities for Azou in the rotation.
The team's midfield is expected to be crowded. Regarding Ziv Ben Shimol, Beitar clarified that any desire for a loan move is not initiated by the club. They stated that if Ben Shimol wishes to stay and compete for his spot, he is welcome to do so. However, the abundance of midfielders means that a significant player will be left out of the squad for each game, presenting a challenge for the players.
With Serna's arrival, the Colombian player and Boris are anticipated to be regulars in the starting lineup. This leaves one midfield spot open for competition among Tomer Yusefi, Adi Yona, Ben Shimol, Varko, and Mucha. Beitar commented that this creates healthy competition, and any player willing to work hard and compete will have opportunities and playing time.
