Rosh Ha'ayin Mayor Outlines Vision for Growing City

Rosh Ha'ayin Mayor Raz Shagi has shared his vision for the city's future, emphasizing community, education, and nature as key pillars for its continued growth. Speaking to News 04, Shagi highlighted Rosh Ha'ayin's rapid expansion, having absorbed approximately 40,000 new residents in under a decade.

Looking ahead to the next two years, the mayor stressed the importance of preserving the city's unique spirit and quality of life. His vision, "A Growing Community in Nature," will guide municipal efforts. These include improving public transportation connections, expanding educational offerings to suit diverse family needs, and strengthening community bonds through neighborhood centers, youth clubs, and senior activities.

Shagi also announced plans for new recreational facilities, including an urban leisure and entertainment space, a municipal swimming pool, and a new country club. Simultaneously, the city will focus on environmental preservation, upgrading riverbanks, developing parks, and maintaining historical sites like Migdal Tzedek.

Connectivity between green spaces, the local lake, and a network of trails is planned to integrate nature into daily life. The mayor also pledged to enhance resident engagement through listening and collaboration, ensuring Rosh Ha'ayin's development preserves its character, community feel, and sense of belonging.
