Former Labor Party Legal Advisor Calls for Bennett's Investigation

Former legal advisor for the Labor Party, Daniel Cohen, stated on Thursday that Natan Sharansky, along with others involved in what he termed a phenomenon that could sway Israeli elections for foreign interests, should be brought in for police investigation. Cohen specifically named journalist Shlomi Eldar, the editor of the newspaper Haaretz, and former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett as individuals who should be investigated.

Speaking on Radio Galai Israel, Cohen argued that if Eldar pointed fingers at Bennett, then Bennett himself should be investigated. He emphasized that such actions could potentially influence Israeli elections to serve the interests of Israel's enemies, an outcome that should not be ignored.

Cohen's remarks were made in the context of discussing a phenomenon he believes poses a threat to the integrity of Israeli elections, suggesting that individuals involved, whether intentionally or unintentionally, should face scrutiny from the Israeli police.
