President Herzog Launches National Campaign Against Child Bullying and Ostracism

The President's Office has launched a new national campaign aimed at raising awareness and combating bullying and social ostracism among children and teenagers in Israel. The initiative, under the patronage of President Isaac Herzog, seeks to address what is described as a "real state of emergency" due to the "worrying rise" in the phenomenon.

The campaign features videos illustrating the struggles of children who are ostracized, with the President's Office stating that "ostracism and bullying are a red line." President Herzog called on all Israelis to participate in the national effort, emphasizing that "we must not ignore" this reality and that "it is time to intervene for the better." He stressed that it is everyone's responsibility to act.

The National Forum for Combating Ostracism and Bullying Among Children and Youth, in cooperation with the President's Office, initiated the broad campaign on Thursday. It involves various organizations and entities from all sectors across Israel, including government ministries, public systems, non-profits, civil society organizations, and the business sector. Influencers, celebrities, and public figures are participating in a digital campaign on social media.

The campaign will also be visible in major commercial corporations, marketing networks, tourism chains, delivery companies, and local authorities throughout Israel. For the first time, a dedicated website has been established to centralize information, resources, and aid centers for all organizations involved in the effort to eradicate bullying and ostracism and foster a change in social norms and discourse for the safety of Israeli youth.
