Ex-Police Chiefs to Sue National Security Minister Ben-Gvir Over Delayed Promotions
A group of former senior police officials, including retired commissioners and superintendents, are planning to file a petition with the High Court of Justice against National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir. The petition, expected to be submitted shortly after the upcoming holiday, concerns the stalled promotions of active-duty police officers.
Sources indicate that current officers whose career advancement has been halted due to the minister's refusal to approve their promotions will also join the legal action. The initiative is reportedly being spearheaded by former Police Commissioner Moshe Karadi and Oshra Asaf, former chairwoman of the Police Rights Committee, along with attorney Oded Sabari.
