Former Reservist Party Lawyer Considers Voting for New Haredi Party

Attorney Shavut Ra'anan, who previously joined and then left the Reservists Party, revealed on Thursday her intention to seriously consider voting for the new Haredi party, 'Ha'tzibur Ha'haredi' (The Haredi Public), in the upcoming elections. Ra'anan stated that her support stems from a desire to help the party cross the electoral threshold, citing a shared sense of responsibility and a potential willingness to break free from traditional Haredi political maneuvering as positive aspects. She also expressed that having Haredi women in the Knesset would be a significant development for Israel.

'Ha'tzibur Ha'haredi' recently submitted its Knesset list, headed by Chairman Moti Lightner, followed by Asher Ferdi, Dr. Nechumi Yaffe, and Ziva Glanz. Lightner commented that the party offers an alternative for tens of thousands of Israelis who previously voted for Shas but are now disillusioned by what he described as the 'thugs of the faction' who oppose military conscription. He asserted that his party provides hope and a future for the Haredi public.
