A large overnight Ukrainian drone attack hit another oil refinery inside Russia, causing heavy damage to energy infrastructure and triggering a major blaze at the industrial site. The strike is part of an ongoing Ukrainian air campaign aimed at strategic oil and refining facilities to disrupt supply chains and inflict targeted economic damage.
Social media footage from the scene showed thick black smoke rising high over the refinery complex, with large flames erupting from several points at once. One clip captured the moment of an explosion in a large fuel tank, where a huge fireball shot upward within seconds.
In that same footage, the tank’s roof was blown off by the force of the blast and sent flying a great distance into the air. Loud explosions were heard across the area, while multiple Russian emergency and rescue crews rushed to the site to bring the fire under control and stop it spreading to nearby installations.
