Yoaz Hendel Predicts 5 Seats for His New Party
Yoaz Hendel, chairman of the 'Reservists - Economic' party and former minister, launched a sharp critique against the Shas party on Thursday, accusing it of encouraging draft evasion and hindering the army's ability to achieve its objectives. Hendel made these remarks during an interview with 103fm radio, addressing recent political developments concerning his new political venture.
Despite current polls showing his party struggling to surpass the electoral threshold, Hendel expressed confidence in its potential to surprise voters. He projected that his list would secure five seats in the upcoming elections.
Hendel also discussed his political partnerships, including his separation from former ally Hili Tropper. He stated that while Tropper made his own political decision, Hendel remains committed to his path and beliefs. Hendel clarified that he did not directly speak with Gadi Eisenkot, and based on his reading, Eisenkot was concerned Hendel might agree to sit with Arab parties in a coalition.
