NEWSru Israel
Translated & summarized from NEWSru Israel by baba
The story · English

Tel Aviv's municipality has collected 573 million shekels from parking and bus lane violations between January 2024 and May 2026, according to data obtained by the Movement for Freedom of Information and reported by Globes. While the number of fines issued has seen a slight decrease in recent years, with 1.095 million in 2024 and 1.075 million in 2025, the projection for 2026 is 886,000 fines based on current trends.

The municipality's data also highlights a significant number of repeat offenders. Since 2020, over 81,000 individuals have received between 10 and 20 fines for parking and bus lane violations. An additional 31,000 people were issued between 21 and 50 fines, and approximately 7,000 individuals received 50 or more citations. In total, more than 119,000 people have accumulated 10 or more fines in under six years.
