Former Minister Ron Dermer Denies Netanyahu-UAE President Call Before Oct. 7
Former Israeli Minister Ron Dermer has denied reports of a phone conversation between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan prior to the October 7th Hamas attacks. Dermer, who was instrumental in expanding the Abraham Accords, stated at the MEAD conference in Washington that he was privy to all discussions between the two leaders and that such a call never took place.
"This conversation did not take place. I don't think there was a conversation at all. It is essentially a fabrication, a made-up story," Dermer asserted. He emphasized his direct involvement in the diplomatic communications between Israel and the UAE, underscoring the fabricated nature of the alleged call.
