Real Madrid Ultras Chant Anti-Semitic Slogans Outside Stadium

Chilling anti-Semitic chants were heard outside Madrid's Santiago Bernabéu Stadium on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, before Real Madrid's Champions League match against Inter Milan. Videos circulating on social media show members of a group identified with the far-right "Ultras Sur" fan organization chanting, "Jew I see, Jew I kick. Spain is Christian, not Muslim." The group has been banned from the stadium for years.

The disturbing display of hatred also included the burning of Moroccan flags and posters of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, reportedly linked to the ongoing migration crisis in the Spanish enclave of Ceuta and broader political tensions. These actions are attributed to factions associated with Ultras Sur, known for neo-Nazi symbols and racist incitement.

Real Madrid has distanced itself from Ultras Sur for over a decade, with club president Florentino Pérez leading efforts to permanently ban the group from the stadium. While the club has succeeded in removing them from the stands, extremist elements continue to attempt to assert their presence outside the stadium before major games.
