Netanya Man Arrested for Threatening Neighbors, Vandalizing 16 Cars
Police in Netanya have arrested a man in his 40s suspected of terrorizing his neighbors with threats of violence and vandalizing 16 vehicles. The suspect faces 16 charges stemming from a series of incidents. Complaints from residents of an apartment building alerted Netanya police to the man, who they claim was harassing them with threats to kill.
Further investigation was prompted by a report of a man smashing car windows with a rock in a public parking lot near the city beach. Using advanced technology, investigators identified the suspect as the same individual accused of threatening the residents. The vandalism caused damage to 16 cars.
The suspect's detention was extended multiple times as the investigation progressed. The Central District Prosecutor's Office has now completed its investigation and brought the case to court. This incident follows a recent event in Netanya where police shot and killed a young man who had opened fire on a street with an assault rifle.
