Omer Adam Dominates Soldier Song Choices Ahead of Annual Chart Reveal
Ahead of the annual music chart winners announcement scheduled for Thursday, the radio station Galgalatz has revealed the song choices made by Israeli soldiers throughout the past year. The soldiers' selections were gathered via the daily program "Soldiers' Voices," where IDF soldiers choose songs that take over Galgalatz for two hours each day. Approximately 250 active duty and reserve units, the vast majority of them combat units, participated this year. Thousands of soldiers from across the country, representing various corps, roles, brigades, and battalions, selected songs and dedicated them to loved ones.
While Omer Adam was the most frequently chosen artist, with his various songs selected the most times by soldiers, the song "Aval At" by Meir and Avitar Banai received the most dedications and was the most requested song overall. Omer Adam is also nominated for Artist of the Year at the annual chart awards, and his album "Helek Meha'Netzach" is nominated for Album of the Year.
