Israel Prepares for Escalated Conflict with Iran, Citing Multiple Fronts

Israel is intensifying preparations for a potential multi-front conflict with Iran, viewing the Islamic Republic as the primary theater of operations, according to Channel 12. Lebanon is considered the secondary front, while Yemen remains a lower priority for now, though the situation could rapidly escalate. A high-ranking Israeli official stated that if an Iranian missile crosses into Jordan, Israel would retaliate directly against Iran. Israeli intelligence assesses that Iran is planning a large-scale attack from multiple directions, potentially involving Hezbollah, Hamas, the Houthis, and pro-Iranian militias in Iraq. Tehran is also reportedly rebuilding its "Axis of Resistance" by enhancing missile and drone capabilities and coordinating training with its allies.

This comes as the Trump administration is developing a long-term strategy to contain Iran, which will shape U.S. policy in the region post-conflict. Within this future regional security framework, Israel is slated to play a pivotal role, with Washington intending to integrate Israeli security into a broader regional structure alongside U.S. Arab allies. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has previously declared that Iran's "hostile axis" will ultimately be dismantled and that Israel will see its current efforts through to completion. He also extended Rosh Hashanah greetings to the nation and military, thanking them for their service.
