Omer Adam Tops Poll as IDF Soldiers' Favorite Artist

As the annual Galgalatz music chart approaches, the musical preferences of thousands of Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers have been revealed. Omer Adam has been named the most played and favorite artist among soldiers for the Hebrew year 5786. The song "Aval At" by Meir and Avitar Banai was selected as the most frequently chosen song by the troops.

These findings come from Galgalatz's "Soldiers' Voices" initiative, where soldiers from approximately 250 IDF units, both regular and reserve forces, participated. The daily program allows soldiers to select songs that accompany them during their service. Omer Adam's songs received more selections than any other artist through this program.

"Aval At" by Meir and Avitar Banai not only garnered the highest number of song selections but also received the most personal dedications from soldiers. Thousands of soldiers from various corps, brigades, and battalions across Israel submitted song choices and dedications to family, friends, and fellow soldiers.

Galgalatz also noted that Omer Adam is nominated for Artist of the Year, and his album "Helek Meha'Netzach" is nominated for Album of the Year. The radio station broadcasted from dozens of bases, outposts, and military events nationwide, including in the north, south, and Judea and Samaria, featuring special performances and significant soldier participation in shaping the year's soundtrack.

The full annual Galgalatz chart, which will announce the Song of the Year, Artist of the Year, and other category winners, is scheduled to air tomorrow starting at 2:00 PM.
