Trump Peace Council Accuses Israel of Hindering Gaza Plan

Sources within the US President Donald Trump's Peace Council have accused Israel of sabotaging the "20-point plan" for Gaza, alleging that Israel is using excuses to avoid progress. Speaking on the sidelines of the MEAD conference in Washington, these sources stated that while Hamas violates agreements, Israel is acting similarly. They expressed disappointment that not even a single day of quiet has been achieved to allow for initial steps toward disarmament.

The council anticipates no dramatic developments before the upcoming elections but is working to build the foundation for the next phase. According to Ynet, the council is actively seeking to expand the International Stabilization Force (ISF), which is expected to initially comprise 2,500 soldiers. This force would secure the entry of the Palestinian Technocratic Committee (NCAG) into southern Gaza.

Agreements in progress include contributions of 1,200 soldiers from Uganda, up to 500 from Burundi, up to 500 from Morocco, 25 from Kosovo, and 150 from Kazakhstan and Albania. Indonesia is also reconsidering sending troops. However, the council accuses Israel of creating obstacles for the deployment of these foreign forces and for the training of Palestinian police officers in Egypt, out of 16,000 approved candidates from a pool of 220,000.

Conversely, sources within the Technocratic Committee noted significant improvements in Gaza compared to a year ago. They pointed to the absence of hostages, a reduction in daily fatalities to 1-2, and a substantial increase in humanitarian aid. These sources estimate that approximately 90 percent of Gaza's residents currently oppose Hamas, which they describe as being in severe distress. Nevertheless, both the Peace Council and the Committee remain concerned about Hamas concealing weapons and demand, as a condition for immunity, that every armed fighter publicly surrender their weapon, documented in a YouTube video.

Israel, on the other hand, believes the chances of Hamas disarmament are low and only worth exploring. The IDF is simultaneously warning that the organization is retrieving weapons from storage and rearming.
