Channel 13 Host Shi Golden Recounts 'Shocking' Left-Wing Attacks

Shi Golden, a panelist and host on Channel 13, revealed in a podcast interview that he was surprised by the intensity of the vitriol directed at him from the left following his career moves, including a stint at Channel 14 and his return to Channel 13. Golden described the experience as "shocking" and expressed dismay at what he perceived as "professional annihilation attempts" aimed at damaging his livelihood and reputation.

Golden stated that he was particularly hurt by the actions of his friend, screenwriter Meni Asayag, a prominent supporter of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Asayag published a social media post criticizing Golden after Golden spoke at the "Hostages Square" rally, calling for the return of hostages. Golden recounted personal conversations with Asayag and expressed deep personal offense at the post, which he described as "violent and ugly."

Golden also shared his disappointment with the right-wing's reaction to his career shifts. He noted that while he expected support from the right, he felt let down by their response. He contrasted Asayag's public criticism with a private conversation where Asayag had predicted Golden might eventually turn against Netanyahu, suggesting Asayag would continue to support him regardless.
