Carrefour Nears Tel Aviv Stock Exchange Listing
International food retailer Carrefour is moving closer to a listing on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. "France Israel Group," the operator of Carrefour's branches in Israel, has taken a preliminary step toward a potential offering and trading registration by submitting a draft prospectus to the Israel Securities Authority, according to a report by Ynet. This draft is based on the company's financial statements for the second quarter of 2026.
As part of this process, the company is also considering a partial sale of its shares, a move influenced by the requirements of Israel's Concentration Law. However, "France Israel Group" emphasizes that the process is in its early stages and there is no certainty the offering will proceed. The size, price, and timing of the offering have not yet been determined.
To complete the complex procedure, the company must overcome several hurdles, including obtaining internal approvals, a permit from the Securities Authority, and confirmation from the stock exchange's management. Carrefour, founded in 1959, is one of the world's largest food retail chains, operating tens of thousands of stores in various formats across Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.
