Miri Regev to Challenge Israel Katz for Likud Secretariat Chair
Transportation Minister Miri Regev has announced her candidacy for the position of Likud party's Secretariat chairman, setting up a contest against current contender Minister Israel Katz. The elections for the party's institutions are slated to occur after the upcoming general elections for the Knesset. Initially, a vote will be held to elect the Likud convention presidency, followed by the vote for the party's secretariat.
In addition to Regev and Katz, Minister Eli Cohen also intends to compete for the chairmanship of the Likud Secretariat. The specific timing for these internal party elections will be determined after the national elections.
