Kobi Peretz Releases Two New Songs for Rosh Hashanah

Israeli singer Kobi Peretz has released a double single ahead of Rosh Hashanah and the High Holy Days. The two songs, "Hakol Letova" (Everything is for the Good) and "Asa Le'maan" (Do for the Sake of), aim to connect faith, joy, and prayer.

"Hakol Letova" is described as an upbeat and joyful track centered on the belief that hope exists even amidst hardship. Its lyrics encourage finding joy and new life through song, with the recurring refrain, "I believe with complete faith that everything is for the good." The song emphasizes perseverance, stating, "Get yourself used to everything being for the good, as long as the candle is lit, know that there is hope."

Complementing this is "Asa Le'maan," a prayerful piece intended to evoke spiritual awakening and longing for salvation. The lyrics include pleas such as, "Do for the sake of Your name, do for the sake of Your right hand, do for the sake of Your name, to You I will call, Lord." It also incorporates themes of struggle and faith, noting, "As long as the candle is lit, everything is possible, just believe that everything is still open." The song explicitly connects to the High Holy Days towards its end, referencing the Yom Kippur prayer "Asa," and asking, "Please do not delay in giving us joy, in the Asa prayer of Yom Kippur."
