Chris Pappas Wins New Hampshire Democratic Senate Primary

U.S. Representative Chris Pappas has secured a decisive victory in the New Hampshire Democratic primary, earning the right to run for the U.S. Senate. His main challenger was Karishma Mansur, representing the progressive wing of the Democratic Party. With 83% of votes counted, Pappas garnered 64.9% of the vote, while Mansur received 32.8%, according to the Associated Press, which declared Pappas the winner shortly after polls closed.

Speaking to supporters, Pappas stated, "Today the voters of New Hampshire made it clear: they are tired of what is happening in our politics, and they are ready for change." He also called for an end to "Donald Trump's reckless leadership, corruption, and unfair economy."

Pappas, who has represented New Hampshire in Congress for four terms, will now compete for the Senate seat held by Jeanne Shaheen, who is not seeking re-election. His opponent in the general election will be Republican John Sununu, a former senator who has received Trump's endorsement. The election campaign included discussions about the candidates' stances on Israel and AIPAC.
