Energy Minister Cohen Addresses Justice Minister Role, Praises Bardugo

Energy Minister Eli Cohen has commented on the potential appointment of the next Justice Minister, stating that the Prime Minister ultimately decides on ministerial portfolios. Cohen noted that while Yariv Levin has expressed a desire to continue in the role, there are "a variety of quality and worthy candidates" for the position. He emphasized the importance of winning the upcoming elections first, expressing confidence that the Likud party's list and reinforcements are strengthening their campaign.

Cohen also addressed the issue of Iran's deterrence, acknowledging the severity of the October 7th attack and the government's responsibility. However, he asserted that Israel remains the strongest power in the Middle East, citing the security buffer zones in challenging areas and Iran's reluctance to attack Israel directly due to fear. He suggested that those who previously acted against Israel are no longer in a position to do so.

Additionally, Cohen expressed satisfaction with the inclusion of Yaakov Bardugo in the Likud list. He also sharply criticized former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett regarding reports of a conversation between Prime Minister Netanyahu and the UAE shortly before the October 7th massacre.
