Netanyahu Leaves Security Cabinet Meeting for Private Session

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu departed a meeting of the Political-Security Cabinet on Sunday to hold a private discussion with Shlomo (Momo) Philber, a pollster for Channel 14. The cabinet session was addressing security developments and tensions with Iran, with Netanyahu having issued public warnings toward Tehran prior to its commencement.

During the discussion, Netanyahu left the room for his meeting with Philber, while the cabinet deliberations continued in an adjacent room. Defense Minister Israel Katz reportedly chaired the meeting in Netanyahu's absence. The Prime Minister later returned to participate in key portions of the discussion and concluded the session.

Philber, a former Director-General of the Ministry of Communications, is a state's witness in cases involving Netanyahu. He is currently involved in polling and political research, including for Channel 14. Neither the Prime Minister's office nor Philber provided a response to the report.
