Gadi Eisenkot Accepts Debate Challenge from Netanyahu
Gadi Eisenkot, chairman of the "Yashar" party, has accepted an invitation from Channel 13 News for a pre-election debate with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Eisenkot's party stated that he would gladly participate in a debate with the prime minister, listing several criticisms against Netanyahu. These include accusations of supporting mass draft evasion from the IDF, ignoring warnings about the October 7th attacks, allegedly trading the police force for a convicted supporter of terrorism, appointing a deputy minister who called Israel an enemy state, and having close associates facing criminal charges.
The Likud party has not yet responded to the debate challenge, and it remains unclear if Prime Minister Netanyahu will agree to participate. The Yashar party's statement emphasized Eisenkot's willingness to attend, stating, "Set a place and time, Eisenkot will come."
