Viewers of the Channel 14 program “The Patriots” took part Wednesday in live polls through the C14 app, weighing in on two current issues: Donald Trump’s threats against Iran and police conduct at Haredi protests.
In the first poll, participants were asked whether they believed Trump when he said he would attack Iran if an agreement were violated. The result was lopsided, with 85% answering no, compared with 15% who said yes. The program said the result reflected deep skepticism among its audience about whether Trump would actually carry out a military threat against Tehran.
The discussion in the studio also touched on how Trump’s image in Israel has changed. The article noted that he once enjoyed broad support among parts of the Israeli right, but that recent developments and the Iran issue appear to have weakened confidence in him among some viewers.
A second poll asked for opinions on the police response to Haredi protests. Here too the response was decisive, with 69% saying the police were using excessive force and 31% saying this is how authorities should act against people blocking roads. The program said the live polling has become a central part of the viewing experience and allows audiences to voice their views on the day’s political and public controversies.
