Food Critic Slams Expensive Holiday Hamper as 'Over the Top'

Niv Gilboa's "Gilboa Index" panel sampled the holiday hamper from chef Or Spitz, priced at 195 shekels, and found it lacking. While Gilboa expressed a general liking for Spitz's food, he deemed this particular offering "a bit over the top."

The panel noted that despite a video showing Spitz preparing each dessert herself, the hamper's contents are actually produced by "Biscotti" for Spitz. This detail, combined with the hamper's small size relative to its high price and a long ingredient list featuring "many E letters," contributed to their dissatisfaction.

Gilboa concluded the tasting with discomfort, stating, "Too bad I tasted it, because this whole list didn't sit well with me. My stomach hurts." The review suggests the product may not offer good value for money, especially when compared to handmade items.
