Northern Israel Hears Explosions Amid IDF Strikes in Lebanon
Residents of Kiryat Shmona and communities in the Upper Galilee reported hearing loud explosions on Monday, coinciding with the start of a wave of targeted Israeli military strikes in Lebanon. The Kiryat Shmona municipality issued a statement assuring residents that the military activity across the border was planned and that there were no changes to defense guidelines at this time. "In the coming hour, the IDF is expected to carry out a wave of attacks in Lebanese territory. As a result of the attacks, echoes of explosions are expected to be heard in the area," the municipality stated. They added that the public would be updated immediately if the situation changed, emphasizing that routine life was continuing and no special instructions were in effect for the public.
