Israel Bars 12 British Officials, Including Jeremy Corbyn, Over Sanctions
Israel has announced it will deny entry to 12 British public figures and senior officials in response to Britain's sanctions against individuals in Judea and Samaria. The list, released Tuesday by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is topped by former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, who has faced accusations of antisemitism and was suspended from the Labour Party for his remarks.
Also included on the list is Zara Sultana, a Muslim colleague of Corbyn's from the "Your Party" faction. The only individual on the list who is not a Member of Parliament is Fahad Ansari, a lawyer who represented Hamas in legal cases in Britain and is the CEO of the pro-Palestinian organization "Riverway to the Sea."
The other British parliamentarians barred from entering Israel are Naz Shah, Diane Abbott, Hannah Spencer, Carla Denyer, Shianne Bri, Ellie Chowns, John McDonnell, Richard Burgon, and Adrian Ramsay.
