Cooper Ninevah Joins UK Insurance Association to Expand Global Reach
Cooper Ninevah, an Israeli firm specializing in liability and special risk insurance, has been accepted as a full member of the Managing General Agents' Association (MGAA). The MGAA is a professional organization primarily active in the UK and Irish insurance markets, representing over 400 insurance agencies and underwriting entities.
Operating in Israel as a regulated insurance entity, Cooper Ninevah utilizes Binder agreements with international insurers. These agreements empower the company, under specified conditions, to conduct underwriting activities on behalf of insurers and syndicates in the Lloyd's market and to make independent underwriting decisions. Membership in the MGAA required Cooper Ninevah to meet stringent professional and regulatory standards, including holding appropriate licenses, possessing underwriting authority from specific Lloyd's syndicates, and demonstrating independent underwriting decision-making capabilities.
The association with the MGAA is expected to grant Cooper Ninevah enhanced access to professional insights within the international insurance sector and foster collaborations with European agencies and entities. The MGAA's focus areas include special risks, artificial intelligence, complex risk management, and navigating regulatory changes.
Ilan Ziv, CEO of Cooper Ninevah, stated that the insurance industry is undergoing significant transformations, citing increased risks, exponential growth in cyber and AI threats, and rapidly evolving international regulations. He added that Cooper Ninevah's entry into the MGAA will provide access to unique information, capabilities, and exclusive partnerships, enabling the company to continue leading in complex insurance solutions in Israel. Ziv affirmed that Cooper Ninevah will maintain its commitment to offering clients optimal access to international insurance markets and the most innovative, advanced insurance solutions meeting European standards.
