Rafi Ginat Explains Shift From Politics to Support New Party
Rafi Ginat, a prominent Israeli figure, has publicly entered the political arena for the first time, hosting the launch event for the "Yashar!" (Straight!) party. Ginat, who previously rejected offers to enter politics from former Prime Ministers Yitzhak Shamir, Yitzhak Rabin, and Ariel Sharon, stated that he was motivated to act due to the current state of the country. "I saw what's happening in the country with all this mess, and I said I have to do something," Ginat explained.
Despite his involvement in launching the new party, Ginat clarified that he has no intention of becoming a full-time politician or running for the Knesset. "I don't want to be a Knesset member and I don't want to be in politics, I just want this government to fly now and something good to come in its place," he said.
Ginat drew a stark comparison between the members of the Yashar! party and current coalition members, including Amir Ohana, May Golan, and others, suggesting the public should make their own judgment. He initiated his involvement by sending a WhatsApp message to the Yashar! party members.
