Far-Right Activist Urges MK Michael Ben-Ari to Reconsider Election Bid

Far-right activist Baruch Marzel has publicly appealed to Dr. Michael Ben-Ari, urging him to reconsider his decision not to run in the upcoming Knesset elections. Marzel stated he was speaking on behalf of many like-minded friends who feel Ben-Ari's presence in the political system is crucial.

Ben-Ari had explicitly announced his withdrawal from the elections the previous day. Marzel conveyed that numerous political lists are interested in having Ben-Ari join them, emphasizing that his absence would leave supporters without a candidate to vote for.

"Michael, I am appealing to you on behalf of many friends who feel exactly like me: if you don't run for the Knesset, we will have no one to vote for," Marzel wrote. He urged Ben-Ari to join one of the lists that want him, so that those who believe in their shared ideology have someone to work for, fight for, and vote for.

Marzel concluded his appeal by stating, "We need you inside the system, not outside of it." This call comes after Ben-Ari's clear statement that he would not be running, irrespective of his ongoing trial. Ben-Ari also addressed speculation about others speaking on his behalf, advising them to focus on themselves and stating he would communicate directly when necessary.

While stepping down from a Knesset run, Ben-Ari, a former Member of Knesset, affirmed his commitment to continued public activity outside parliament. He acknowledged the Knesset as an important tool for serving the Israeli people but indicated he intends to continue fighting for public consciousness through other means.
