Gideon Sa'ar Ally Calls for Coalition with Arab Parties, Praises Mansour Abbas

Gideon Sa'ar, a prominent figure in the New Hope party, has publicly advocated for the formation of a coalition government that includes Arab political parties, specifically praising the leader of the United Arab List (Ra'am), Mansour Abbas. Sa'ar expressed his hope that the electoral gap between Benny Gantz's National Unity party and the Likud would be significant enough to enable Gantz to form a coalition with "Israel's Arabs." When directly questioned by the host about forming a coalition with Ra'am and Mansour Abbas, Sa'ar responded unequivocally, "With Mansour Abbas. A dear man, by the way. He is one of the better people."

These statements by Sa'ar, who is listed in the party's honorary top ten, contrast with the current political positioning of figures like Gadi Eisenkot, who is reportedly attempting to project a more centrist and national image and distance himself from potential partnerships with Arab parties. Sa'ar's comments highlight a potential internal division within the political bloc regarding coalition strategies.
