Fashion Influencer Rejects Designer Brands, Embraces Sentimental Style

Yael Promkin Zellinger, a prominent 26-year-old Israeli content creator known for her fashion and beauty posts, recently shared insights into her personal style and wardrobe.

Her wedding videos, shared last May, garnered millions of views, leading to an interview at her North Tel Aviv home. Among her cherished items is a necklace with an emerald stone, a keepsake from her grandmother. This necklace is her sole memento from her grandmother, as her father donated most of her designer clothing and shoes. Promkin Zellinger noted that designers have been inspired by the necklace.

She also discussed a pair of vintage shoes she purchased for 19 euros in Italy, which she described as a departure from her usual street style and an attempt at a more mature look. In contrast, she expressed regret over purchasing a Louis Vuitton bag years ago, admitting she rarely uses it. At the time, she was enthusiastic about brands but now believes expensive labels do not define a person and that spending thousands of shekels on them is unnecessary, preferring unique items over those with prominent logos.

Promkin Zellinger also highlighted a vintage blazer from Italy, which she considers a wardrobe staple that elevates any outfit. She recounted how the blazer survived a missile strike near her home during a conflict with Iran, which led to her family being evacuated for three months. Her closet remained intact.

Finally, she spoke about a pair of green-orange pants, the first gift from her husband when they began dating. They became her comfortable home pants and now serve as a reminder of their early relationship.
