Israel’s High Court of Justice ruled on Wednesday that members of the outgoing Council of the Second Authority can convene even without the council members who have resigned. The decision is another setback for Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi.
The ruling resolves, at least for now, the status of the council’s meetings after the departures. The court said the remaining members may continue to gather despite the absence of the resigning members, allowing the body to function while its composition is in transition.
